Yesterday I read on mousesports.com, that Battlefield-TV is coming. The guys from BFTools.de will create this tool.

As many known, HLTV is a very popluar addition to CS, and it helped a lot that the community increased. Hopefully that will be similar for the BF community. Furthermore a TV-Tool makes the game more entertaining.

ratz joins mouz

Today the German Top BF Clan

ratz (ex-eLd) joined the well-known German CS Clan

mousesports. They made the step towards a Multigaming Clan.
mouz had already tried to get a Multigaming Clan with a WC3 Squad, but the squad survived only several days. Before

ratz joined them, mouz planed with ratz weeks ago to made ratz become a successful squad.

ratz was already running under the German Label Freakz4u, but now finally integrated in

mousesports.

New Map: "Battle of Britain"

EA had just released a new map, called Battle of Britain.

Here a snippet from the news:

In the new Battle of Britain map for Battlefield 1942, the Germans must disable the Royal Air Force's (RAF) four coastal radar towers as well as the Harwich Weapons Factory. Protected by several anti-aircraft batteries, the factory will be no easy target for the Luftwaffe. If the British can defend the objectives until the German tickets run out, they can wrest victory from the jaws of defeat.

Features in the map:

2 new weapons: the Junkers Ju88 heavy bomber for the axies and a radar tower for the british forces.

Attention: The Battle of Britain will only work with the 1.4 Patch.

Today we received a mail from the x-league crew. In fact they are starting 3 leagues: 1 for BF1942 (10on10), 1 for Eve of Destruction (8on8) and 1 for Desert Combat (8on8). The registration end for the BF and EoD league is the 20.07.03, for the DC league is the deadline the 27.07.03.

Wie ihr schon am Titel erkennt, bieten wir 3 Ligen bzw. Cups an. Zum einen die bereits bekannte und unter den Spielern beliebte BF42 Liga, welche als 10on10 ausgetragen wird, dann 2 Eröffnungscups für die Mods EoD 8on8 und DC 8on8. Während die BF42 Liga ca. 10 Wochen in Anspruch nehmen wird, dauern die Cups nur kurze Zeit an und sollen vorwiegend dazu dienen, die Mods auf Ligatauglichkeit zu testen, geeignete Maps zu finden und vor allem soll der Spaß im Vordergrund stehen. Anmelden könnt ihr euch für BF42 und EoD noch bis zum 20.07.03, für DC ist die Deadline auf 27.07.03 terminiert.
Für Clans, die keinen eigenen Server haben, ist bereits gesorgt: die X-League stellt für die Spiele Ligaserver von "The Wuschers" und "Gameserverzone" zur Verfügung, auf denen Clanwars ausgetragen werden können. In their 23th community update EA mentioned a lot of new things in the upcoming patch 1.4:

New Features:

- Tank Repair exploit - tanks will no longer be able to make repairs in the airplane hanger.
- Cheats will be seen at a current BF Game
- Linux Server
- Two new guns
- New and improved sounds
- New scoreboard now shows server's name, IP address, map name, each player's ID number
- Rear gunner for Stuka/SBD/Ai-chi-val now has crosshair.
- Added a new blood effect for additional feedback when you are hitting another soldier

Another new feature of 1.4 is the "Content Check" option, check therefore the full community update.

In the new community update EA/Dice informed about a new addon: Secret Weapons of WWII will be the second addon of BF1942, after Road to Rome .

A short extract:

The goal of this expansion pack is to bring actual World War II "Secret Weapons" that were on the drawing board during the later portion of the war - to life. With that in mind, we're sticking with the same action/arcade environment that we laid the foundation for in the original Battlefield 1942.
